Redeemed

Redeem | rəˈdēm | To buy back

Redemption is not something you earn, it’s something freely given, that you are completely undeserving of.

“To him who spread out the earth above the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever.

To him who made the great lights, for his steadfast love endures forever.

The sun to rule over the day, for his steadfast love endures forever.

The moon & the stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever”.

Psalm 136:6-9

To declare righteous

Justification

When you’ve reached the end of yourself- full of mistakes and carrying a weight that feels too heavy to bear; a surrender to the one who has never left you is what’s required in order to bring new life to a broken soul. It’s in God’s character to gather his children back to himself and through this act of kindness, he declares us righteous in his sight.

"A person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ" - Galatians 2:16

To set apart, to purify

Sanctification

Once we have been declared righteous and dwell with the one who created us, a washing of ourselves must take place-- an undoing of past beliefs, hurts and conditions. This process is called sanctification, and it never truly ends.

“But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God”
- 1 Corinthians 6:11

To live in newness

Vivification

As we are being renewed by the holy spirit day by day, new life is born within us. Old patterns slowly wash away & new desires spring up within us to be made into new wine. Jesus not only gives us eternal life, he provides us with a new one.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come”. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

To receive a double portion

Multiplication

As our broken nature has been forgiven, and we are being sanctified into new life with the creator of the universe, our God not only equips us to be on mission for him, but multiplies everything we do, if we do it in his name - Jesus Christ.

“Be fruitful and multiply”. - Genesis 1:28
